Very close call on the highway the other day. I was driving in the fast lane doing about 80mph. There was a large box truck with ladders in the next lane which was about 4-5 car lengths in front of me.
All of a sudden one of the ladders decided it wanted to get off the truck immediately. I watched the ladder fly through the air heading right for me. Thankfully the ladder landed on the highway to the right of me but it was still partially in my lane. The amazing thing was everything was in slow motion. A matter of seconds seemed like minutes. I had time to look to the left of me to make sure I had room to swerve which i did quickly and just missed the ladder.
Looking back in the rearview mirror luckily other cars were about to dodge the ladder just in time.
